As we are obliged to send images to the organisers in return for the chance to shoot this event, there are some guidelines as to what images are required.   Either use the "About" menu or "Click here"

The event organisers are keen that CPF use the event to raise money for a new projector.  Details to follow. To maximise sales NO IMAGES ARE TO BE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA SITES FOR 4 WEEKS.

With 48 hrs of the event images are to be uploaded to a Dropbox.  Please put your name on a folder, and name the images in accordance with the Guidelines refered to above.  To upload your folder, navigate to the DROPBOX by clicking here.  Then simply drag your folder over the page.

A reminder to those that did not exhibit in the Fashion Competition/Exhibition. I am asking anyone who did not enter images in the competition to email me a selection of full length walking images so I can make an informed decision as to who to include in the shoot. Newmarket Young Fashion Designer Award 2012


This Award ceremony includes the 18 finalists whose creative journals attained the very high calibre standard set by our judges. The ceremony includes a show whereby each designer showcases their designs. The show culminates with the announcement of the overall winner, first runner up, second runner up! 

The brief for designers in 2012 is to design an innovative and contemporary daywear outfit for today’s young urban man or woman using global events, popular culture, music, art and technology for inspiration.

An opportunity for 8 photographers to shoot this event. Expected to run for 2 hours with a 20 minute interval. Ideally people wishing to shoot should have shot a previous catwalk parade or have some record of shooting a comparable event, because all participants must be able to file at least some images within 48 hours of the event, via Dropbox. (A blend of experience will be selected)

Photographers can retain copyright and have unlimted right to use the images as they see fit after the initial 4 week embago period (No Facebook for 4 weeks), however the event organisers have the right to use the images and CPF in Association withthe organisers, will use their best endeavours to sell images/prints to contestants and people associated with the event.

We are still finalising details, and more information will be posted as it comes to hand.  You will appreciate that we have some obligations to produce some images in return for the right to shoot at the event, and hence the need for more experienced photographers. If you exhibited at the CPF Fashion Exhibition you will receive priority.

Clearly this is a fund raising opportunity for CPF. Full details of pricing etc have yet to be finalised, but it is anticipated that photographers would recover any costs associated in reproducing images.

The quality of the lighting at the event is unknown, but it is likely to be comparable to the Trelise Mercedes event. Also it is the 4th year and is likely to be of a very high standard.

The deadline for website enrollement is 8pm 10th Oct but telephone bookings will be accepted for a further 24hrs. Final instructions will be sent before the show. If you do not have an established record, please assist the convenor by submitting details of the equipment you intend to use and your CV.  Attn Breaking Boundaries.
