INTEGRATING COLOUR MANAGEMENT INTO YOUR WORKFLOW

If you have ever been disappointed that the colour on your print didn't match the monitor. Had a bride complaining that her skin tone is too red in the prints. A client complaining about a magazine ad that reproduced poorly.

THEN THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU.

Process

Colour Management is the process of controlling colour as it moves between devices - from the input end (cameras/scanners) to the output end (screens, projectors and printers). This is achieved through a combination of two key processes: calibration (setting a device to a known, repeatable state) and profiling (creating an accurate description of that state so that image colours can be translated into the best matching device colours).

This course starts with an overview of colour management, what purpose it serves and how it works. Then moves into a hands-on how to calibrate and profile a monitor to ensure accurate on screen colour. Configuring major editing applications. Colour profiles and management of the print process.

* Eliminating the frustration, and expense, when prints don't turn out

* Simplify proofing

* Reduce rework

* Speedup turnaround time

* Be confident about sending images that are correct
