INTRODUCTION


Essential equipment knowledge and set up’s required to embark on people photography. Encompassing, natural light, flash, fixed and studio strobes.


 


Recommended before registering for other more specialised people class.


CONCEPT


A crash course on basics lighting techniques. Applicable to: natural light, flash, fixed light and strobes. Includes: Reflectors and modifiers. Triggers. Single and multiple lights. Soft and hard light.


Using flash as the main source of light and as fill-flash. Determining exposure, how to control the light output of a flash, ways to diffuse a flash, why and how to include or exclude ambient light.


 


Get ready for overload this class is packed with info and prepares you for more specialized classes

Safe use, setting up and care of equipment.


Greater understanding of how to use supplementary lighting with manual camera settings.


A comprehensive overview for experience photographers. Essential knowledge for people wishing to participate in other lighting classes.

Anyone who wishes to learn essential equipment knowledge before embarking on other lighting classes. 


WHAT TO BRING


SLR camera with manual capability. Optional equipment include, flash, triggers, tripods.

VENUE. Epsom Community Centre 202 Gillies Ave, Epsom.  Start at 6.30pm - 9.30pm


Cost $20 Members $40 Non members. This is a stand alone class, but may be taken as a series. Full series of 5 classes $150 members $275 Non Members, for details click here.
