I have been interested in photography ever since my father gave me a cast off camera and schooled me at the age of 10 on how to keep the horizon straight.
I was a passionate recorder of family events untill I got my first slr, an OM1, and discovered the magic of processing and printing my own work in a darkroom set up in the wash house.
In 2006 a strange set of circumstances led me to enrol in a Batchelor of Design Course at Unitec in painting. During the first year it became very clear that my major was to be photography. so I embraced it fully and loved it. it introduced me to conceptual photography, and I discovered my love of the surreal and constructed imagery.
